London College of Spirituality is a grassroots home-grown college. LCS is a college and an ideology - reflecting a network of passionate individuals who are committed to enabling spirituality to be accessible to society.
LCS works with the philosophy of service, where giving to the whole enriches the whole and serves all within that whole, surrendering to the higher flow of the Universe - that which is all of us, and all around us.
LCS advocates a new paradigm philosophy where there are no rules but the ones individuals decide to utilise for themselves. Each individual is the centre of their own Universe, exploring and playing. This group's main intention is to hold that space to allow for this. LCS is also committed to ensuring that spirituality is based upon deep wisdom, love, passion, connection rather than a search for monetary fulfilment, thereby allowing our new security to be founded upon unconditional love. Subsequently, all our standard talks, events are £5 maximum to cover costs, with socials free. All monies generated are used for expenses, speaker fees and any remaining is put back in for helping with future events
We have wonderful passionate people working behind the scenes and have also launched several free services that will continue to deliver Love, Wisdom, Empowerment & Happiness...Awakening Your Soul.
The London College of Spirituality was born from the London Spirituality Meetup Group, set up in 2007 to connect others of a similar wavelength. This is the main drive behind all activities at the meetup and college. (See our sister site, the London Spirituality Meetup Group, which houses all of our events and the grassroots hub of our members)
The premise behind this meetup and LCS is primarily:
- Self-empowerment
- Exploration of and the Application of Love-based wisdom teachings, whether ancient or cutting edge
- Spiritual/Consciousness Exploration: Pushing the boundaries
- Encouraging social interaction
- Ensuring the group is involved with the movement rather than being an "audience", comments, ratings, social events, volunteer help encourage this
- Working with other organisations, collaborating
- Service orientated work e.g. working with charities
LCS is aligned with a principle of transcending duality, through being and evolving traditional spiritual mainstream thought, ideas with new paradigm philosophies of simply - breaking the rules.
Flowing with Passion - We are working from the ground up, branching out and reaching people across faiths, religions, fields, beliefs, colours, creeds, classes. We use the analogy of a tree to anchor spiritual thought into physical reality, making it viable for people to go about their lives with a spiritual approach - in a grounded way. Using the truths learned from one another, this allows us all to grow into other areas, exploring together and nurturing one another. LCS evolves through the continual assimilation of all participants, tutors and volunteers, amassing thought together to reach new higher truths as a symbiotic group. Our tree of knowledge also work with others in society who are hard-working with their own development to make a difference - where we all recognise our part within an evolving forest of ideas, networking, sharing and collaborating for humanity's development. We believe this to be the most empowering way for the people to reclaim their power - allowing each individual to become part of the movement themselves.
The grassroots nature of this meetup is synonymous with the new paradigm our society is moving into, where group collective power reflects individual empowerment simultaneously.
